Cristian Torres León is an Agroindustrial Engineer with a degree from the National University of Colombia (2013) and a master’s degree in Food Science and Technology by the Autonomous University of Coahuila (2016). He is a PhD student of Food Science and Technology by the Autonomous University of Coahuila and Biological Sciences by the Federal University of Pernambuco. He worked as a researcher in the Colombian administrative department of science (Colciencias) and the National University of Colombia (2013-2014). He has experience in Food Science and Technology, acting on the following subjects: phenolic compounds, valorization of agroindustrial byproducts, biological properties (Antioxidant, antimicrobial and antiproliferative activities), edible films and coatings, fruit postharvest and sustainable food systems.
